Apply For Funding

Are you a local charity or community project which needs funding? Every year, funds raised by players of Postcode Lottery support thousands of charities and good causes.

Funding amounts

Our grant programme is delivered through six trusts which are open to funding applications at different times during the year. Money raised by our players is distributed to charities and groups which are making a difference to their community for the benefit of people and planet.

We offer three-year funding for Registered Charities, Community Interest Companies, and Charitable Community Benefit Societies with an annual income between £10,000 and £1 million.

Grants up to £50,000 in total over the three years are available, depending on your organisation's income.

Partnership grants are also available for small groups (income below £10,000), sports organisations, environmental projects, and schools.

Eligibility for funding

To be eligible for funding, your organisation's main aims and objectives must fit with one of the funding themes:

  • Enabling participation in the arts
  • Preventing or reducing the impact of poverty
  • Supporting marginalised groups and/or tackling inequality
  • Improving mental health

Postcode Lottery’s Eligibility Checker will help identify and direct you to any of our funding programmes that are relevant for your organisation and let you know the amount of funding you can apply for.

Check out the individual trust websites for further details on funding rounds and how to apply.
