Success For Sutton-on-Sea
Hundreds of people in the Lincolnshire seaside village of Sutton-on-Sea will be celebrating after landing a £12.3 Million Postcode Lottery prize.
Players in the postcode area LN12 2 will bag a share of the bumper prize pot this Saturday at a special event. Ticketholders will find out exactly how much they’ve scooped during a two-hour winner celebration at King George Playing Fields, the home of Sutton Rovers Football Club. They can expect to take home cheques for at least £2,000. Winners will receive invitations from Tuesday 21 April.
The full winning postcode will also be revealed at the event. Anyone playing with this postcode will win the largest cash prizes.
Postcode Lottery ambassadors Matt Johnson, Judie McCourt and Danyl Johnson will be at the event to reveal cheques and celebrate with winners.
Matt said: “I’m thrilled to be heading to the seaside again to celebrate a multi-million-pound Postcode Lottery prize. It’s set to be a fabulous day for hundreds of neighbours, and the excitement is really building. Saturday can’t come soon enough!”
Postcode Lottery players have helped raise more than £1.7 Billion for thousands of charities simply by playing.
One of those charities, Young Lives vs Cancer, has received over £24 Million in funding. They provide vital emotional, practical, financial and clinical support to young cancer patients and their families.
And in recent years, a much-loved local charity, Acts Trust, received £120,000 thanks to players. Based in Lincoln, the charity's mission is to empower people to end poverty. The trust runs several vital community services, including a foodbank, community grocery and community cafés.
